About
The darkroom at Studio A89 is a dedicated space for analogue and alternative photographic practices, designed to support both experimentation and technical learning. Equipped for black-and-white film development, silver gelatin printing, and historical photographic processes, the space encourages a slower, hands-on engagement with image-making through chemistry, light, and material processes. Rooted in collaborative practice, the darkroom functions as both a working studio and a learning environment for artists, students, researchers, and photography enthusiasts.The darkroom facilities are also available on rent for individual practitioners, small groups, workshops, and project-based use.

Includes chemicals: Paper Developer, Stop Bath & Fixer
(Photographic paper may be brought by the user or provided at actual cost.)

Half-Day Shift (4 Hours)
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

(For 1–2 users)
Full-Day Shift (8 Hours)
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
(Lunch Break: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)

B&W Film Processing
B&W film roll(s) can also be processed if sent to the studio for processing.
